Terms and Conditions

We provide an independent, professional view based on the background information available, performance in standardised tests of cognitive ability, literacy and/or numeracy attainment and observation of behaviours in the assessment. This enables the assessor to reach a diagnostic conclusion; parents and schools should be aware that we do not take on assessments where a parent or an institution requests a specific diagnostic outcome.

We sometimes receive requests from parents who would like an assessment of autism, ADHD, ADD, conduct disorders or attachment disorders for their children. These are areas that a clinical psychologist or NHS community paediatric service would normally assess. In this instance, parents are advised to visit their family GP or ask the school SENCo to make a referral to the appropriate service.

Although we can identify dyspraxic type difficulties, dyspraxia in young children would usually be diagnosed by a paediatrician or a paediatric occupational therapist, again through a family GP or the school SENCo.
